Fifth Wedding Anniversary Tales

This is very late in coming as well, but...

On June 6th, Cam and I celebrated our anniversary (5 years). I'll play it for you in pictures.

I went running at 6:30 that morning, like every Thursday. Knowing that Cam and the boys would still be asleep when I returned, I had decided I would make Cam breakfast in bed.

However, when I got home, something wonderful-smelling hit me. It was so wonderful, in fact, that my disappointment in not being able to make Cam breakfast quickly faded. Before I could even enter the kitchen Cam ushered me to the bedroom where I found these.

All my boys were awake by the time I got home and, while I waited for MY breakfast in bed, I nursed Stockton. I had to get a picture of one of the reasons I love nursing him. :)

Cam brought in breakfast soon after and, once again, I was so happy I hadn't gone through with MY breakfast plans. Bacon, eggs, french toast made with french bread topped with strawberries and melted chocolate chips... wow... this is my new favorite breakfast. Soooo gooood....

 Cam then informed me that we would be going to the temple that day. While Cam went in to do Initiatories, I stayed out with the boys and just snapped some pics.

This has to be our favorite place to eat in St. George, which is where we went after our temple visit. It's fast, it's, oh, so yummy, and it's fun to watch the two guys whisk around a hot grill cooking your veggies, meat, and noodles. 

After lunch, we went to WalMart, and with a jar of coins that we split (we each got $11), we parted ways (I took Parker, Cam took Stockton) and had to find presents for each other. Without being seen by the other person. Cam got me cute shorts and a tank top to go over my swimming suit, and I got him a nice shirt, some sparklers, and... something else that I can't recall... anyway, it was WAY fun!

We hurried home and dropped the boys off at a friend's before going to see Iron Man 3. Afterward we decided to try Sweet Basil, a Thai restaurant in Cedar. Have you never been? You should. Thai food is fun; Pad Thai is good. Yes, Thai food is my new favorite food. Well, okay. Just Pad Thai and Chicken Satay. Not a fan of curry, but I'll give more Thai food a try! Yes, please!

We ended the evening by putting the boys to bed and making an Oreo cheesecake, which, as you can see, we ate just between the two of us.

Why is it that OUR wedding anniversary ended up being like MY birthday or Mother's Day? I tell you what, man, I've been blessed with an extraordinary man. Here's to the rest of eternity. I love you, Cameron Henrie!

Oh, P.S. We've extended our five year anniversary celebration to go clear into August. We're going on a cruise, just the two of us, right before Cam starts school. Suh-weet!

This is a little late in coming, but...

Congratulations 

to my little seester, McKenna, who graduated from Wasatch High School on May 29th.

She's gorgeous, yes?

H+I=HI

Man, I gotta get back on the ball! H and I Days haven't been spectacular, but I blame that on the fact that Cam has been home and our schedules haven't been the same. (I am NOT complaining in the slightest about that.)

"H" Day

 I just taped together three pieces of paper in the shape of a house (brilliant, right? Ha ha) and then I asked Parker what he wanted to put on it. I drew and colored what he told me to, and then he put it wherever he wanted to on the house. Howdja like to live in THAT house? Lots of birds and a "flower tree" (is what he called the tree on the left.)

This is just what we did for lunch. Pasta and toast. I put his pasta in the shape of an "H" and cut his toast the same way. He thought it was cool.

"I" Day

 We put some water over some ice cubes in the shape of an "I" and froze it. The green stuff in the background, well, I'm not sure how that came to be. We just threw ice cubes and food coloring into a pan and let him paint and swirl the colors with the ice. Eventually, he started driving his trucks through it. Okay... cool...? :)

I put one of his toys into a container of water and froze it. He had to pick at it to get it out. So, if you're looking for something to keep them entertained for awhile, do this. :)
