Deacon, 3 Months

AT 3 1/2 MONTHS OLD, Deacon is still active and alert, smiles at anyone so easily, and takes three short-ish naps a day. (Maybe. If it's a good day. Most days consist of cat naps throughout the day and I find it hard to get as much done as I'd like. But it's okay!) He sleeps from around 8pm to 7:30am or so with a 4 or 5 o' clock feeding.
He loves to kick around, wants SO badly to sit up and play with his brothers, and is trying really hard right now to get his hands working the way he wants them to. His look of intense focus is hard not to giggle at. He is a very happy little man and we are loving every second we have with him!

Happy 2015!

We were in Wallsburg at my parents' house for New Year's Eve. Let me tell you, it was SO fun. We celebrated my mom's birthday (which is on January 3rd) and rang in 2015 by playing lots of minute to win it games.
Parker and Stockton actually stayed up until midnight with us, throwing marshmallows into bowls, blowing a ball across the table (or pushing it after realizing blowing it was doing absolutely nothing in Stockton's case), and being our reindeer as shown in the picture below. Parker requested the pink balloon for his nose, by the way, just so he could be Rudolph.
After the games were over though, they were exhausted and, boy, did they let us know!

Happy 2015!

Christmas 2014

Sorry I'm late. This is mostly for journalistic purposes...

The day after Thanksgiving, we always go with Cam's family to pick out our Christmas tree. Every year gets more exciting just because Parker is old enough to know what's going on and act excited about it, which gets Stockton in the excited mood, too.
Even after Cam cut two feet off of our tree, got it inside and up, it was still a bit tall.

I love the glow a bright tree makes in our home!

The boys also dared venture onto Santa's lap this year. Parker wanted Kabuto (a Mater's Tall Tales car), and Stockton would always say, "Parker wants Kabuto." Although I think he managed to tell Santa that he wanted Off-Road Lightning.

Gingerbread houses were fun in our home; although we know now to put the house together after the boys go to bed and decorate it with them the following night. Having Parker tell Cam that their house kept falling down did not boost Cam's spirits. :) Stockton and me vs. Parker and Cam...
