Happy Halloween

A few days before Halloween, we carved pumpkins. Parker, even now, keeps saying that we wants to "Ca punt" (carve pumpkins). He could also be saying "color pumpkins" since that's what he wanted to do to his anyway. Cam did an amazing superhero pumpkin and I felt really creative when I just carved a big "H" into mine. But I guess I redeemed myself by carving Mater into Parker's pumpkin.

At the suggestion of my sister, Carissa, (forever ago!) Parker was Calvin and Stockton was Hobbes from the comic book series. Cam was a baseball player (just put all his baseball stuff on) and I was a cheerleader (borrowed a cheer uniform from a friend. Thanks, Brittany Dodds!). My brother, Braden, came down to stay with us, and he completed the high school scenario by being a nerd. He was awesome and answered the door for us through the duration of trick-or-treaters; he had fun thinking up creative ways to scare the kids at the door.

When Parker and Stockton had gone to bed, Cam, Braden, and I watched Alfred Hitchcock's "Vertigo" and ate pumpkin chili, fruit salad, and pumpkin pie.

With our new ward's trunk-or-treat, this Halloween was very fun and very inexpensive! Besides the candy, I simply bought a lion costume at D.I. for $1, cut the mane off, and Sharpie markered it up!

Love your costumes! you're such a cute family. Glad Parker is doing better too.
